Jenny Wanda Barkmann was a Nazi concentration camp guard during World War II. She was born on February 16, 1922, in Hamburg, Germany. She served as a guard in several concentration camps, including Stutthof, where she gained a reputation for cruelty towards prisoners. She was known for beating and starving inmates, as well as using her dog to attack them.
After the war, Barkmann was tried and convicted of war crimes by a Polish court in 1946. She was executed by hanging on July 4, 1946. Barkmann was one of several female concentration camp guards who were tried and executed for their crimes after the war.
